What a week in Orlando! The energy at the Gaylord Palms Resort was absolutely electric as over 5,000 fiber broadband leaders, innovators, and visionaries gathered for Fiber Connect 2026.
As the premier event for the fiber industry, this year’s conference focused heavily on the technologies, partnerships, and policies driving the next wave of connected communities. For the VETRO team, it was our biggest and most impactful showing yet.
Here is a look back at our whirlwind week in the Sunshine State.
VETRO by the Numbers: Orlando Edition
We didn’t just attend Fiber Connect this year—we brought the house. Our team was out in full force, showcasing our commitment to simplifying fiber network infrastructure management.
- 20 Team Members: We sent nearly 20 of our brilliant engineers, product experts, and account leaders to connect directly with the industry.
- 3 Thought-Leadership Presentations: Our experts took the stage across three different sessions, sharing insights on network inventory management, scaling deployment, and the future of open-access networks.
- 100+ Handshakes & Meetings: We sat down with over 100 incredible customers, partners, and colleagues to talk strategy, collaborate, and listen to the real-world challenges operators are facing today.
The Big Buzzword: AI is Transforming the Fiber Landscape
If there was one theme that permeated every keynote, panel, and exhibit hall conversation this week, it was Artificial Intelligence.
AI is no longer a futuristic concept for broadband—it is actively reshaping how networks are planned, built, and optimized. From predictive analytics that streamline engineering workflows to automated data reconciliation, the industry is looking for ways to build faster and smarter.
At VETRO, we are already riding this wave. The conversations we had in Orlando confirmed that the market is hungry for AI-driven automation that eliminates manual data entry, cuts down on human error, and radically reduces the time it takes to get from design to revenue.
The Big Reveal: VETRO Vision & Vision Mobile
The highlight of our week was officially unveiling our latest breakthrough innovations designed to bridge the gap between the back office and the physical world: VETRO Vision and Vision Mobile.
These solutions represent a massive leap forward for field operations and network orchestration:
- VETRO Vision: Gives operators unprecedented, high-definition visibility into their network assets, combining advanced GIS visualization with real-time data orchestration to ensure your digital twin perfectly matches your physical fiber.
- Vision Mobile: Empowers field crews with robust offline GIS capabilities, digital walkouts, and precise field splice tracking. It eliminates the need for paper maps, allowing teams to document as-builts right from the ditch and instantly sync them back to the office, boosting field efficiency by over 20%.
The feedback we received at our booth was overwhelming. Operators are tired of disjointed data, and the seamless connection between VETRO Vision in the office and Vision Mobile in the field is exactly the solution the industry has been waiting for.
Looking Ahead
Fiber Connect 2026 proved that the broadband boom isn’t slowing down—it’s just getting smarter. We left Orlando feeling inspired, re-energized, and incredibly proud of the impact our platform is making on bridging the digital divide.
A massive thank you to the Fiber Broadband Association for hosting an incredible event, and to all our customers, partners, and new friends who took the time to map out the future with us.
See you next year!
